Textile heritage is an atlas of belonging—read with care, share with others.

Across distance and time, textiles and adornments carry the life of vernacular worlds. The DRĂGAICA ROȘIE Ethnographic Collection brings these together—cloth for the body and its protections; crowns and coins for the head and the gaze; linens for the house and its spirit—so their meanings can be seen anew.

Handmade garments, household linens, and jewelry from the last century speak through structure and surface: every alteration and mend is evidence; every weave and clasp, a map.

We read cloth and ornament as visual culture: fiber and dye, cut and silhouette, motif and repair—signs that tie body to house, ritual to everyday life.

We trace how stitches migrate and palettes are re-coded locally; how an everyday piece gathers ceremony when met with a buckle, a bead, a braid.

What emerges are connected biographies of making and use—ensembles brought back into conversation, one seam and one sign at a time.

DRĂGAICA ROȘIE is both collection and research practice.

Working between studio, archive, and exhibition—and alongside museums and communities—we turn this material into stories you can see: exhibitions, writings, and programs that invite close looking.
